The New 

Wimbledon Theatre

The New Wimbledon Theatre is one of London's largest regional theatres, with several professional touring productions passing through each year. A beautiful Grade II listed Edwardian building, the theatre opened in 1910 and has since been refurbished twice but retains its original baroque features.  

 

With a large proscenium arch stage, The New Wimbledon Theatre has achieved a fantastic national reputation and offers great views throughout the auditorium.

Is there parking near the venue?


There are several car parks near to the New Wimbledon Theatre. The nearest car parks are located on Russell Road and Hatfield Road car park.

The New Wimbledon Theatre is outside of London’s Congestion Charge Zone and drop-offs are permitted outside the theatre on Russell Road.




Will there be food and drink served at the venue?


Yes, there will be several bars and confectionary outlets available at the venue




How do I get to the venue?


Rail: The New Wimbledon Theatre is within a 10 minute walk from Wimbledon Station. On exiting the station onto Wimbledon Bridge, cross the road and turn left. Wimbledon Bridge soon turns into The Broadway. Continue past the shopping centre and cinema. The theatre is on the right, on the corner of Russell Road. Tube: Wimbledon Station is also served by the District line and London trams. From the station, walk straight ahead to Wimbledon Bridge. Turn left and cross the road at the next set of traffic lights. Wimbledon Bridge soon turns into The Broadway. Keep going straight ahead, past the shopping centre and the cinema. The theatre is on the corner of Russell Road, on the right.
The Northern line’s South Wimbledon tube station is approximately a 12-15 minute walk away.
Bus: Bus routes 57, 93, 131 and 219 stop on The Broadway near the theatre. By Wimbledon Station, you can find routes 156, 163, 164, 200 and 219, all of which stop within 10 minutes of the theatre.




Is there an after party?


What is a bhangra event without an afterparty! Our afterparty is welcome to individuals (above 18 of course) whether you have performed or not.
